This document describes the natural properties of the materials we use. It is referenced in the order confirmation. By accepting the offer, you confirm that you have taken note of the material properties described here.

Natural material properties do not constitute material defects (see also our T&Cs § 8).

Kitchen Furniture — EGGER Dekorspan

Our kitchen cabinets (carcasses) are manufactured using EGGER decorative chipboard with a laminate surface.

  • Minor structural and color variations between different production batches
  • Minimal dimensional tolerances in accordance with EN 14322 (decorative layer) and EN 312 (chipboard)
  • Sensitivity to prolonged moisture exposure at unprotected cut edges

Fronts — Senosan Supermatt on MDF

Matte, tactile surface made from PVC-free PMMA on an MDF substrate.

  • Anti-fingerprint coating reduces fingerprints but does not eliminate them entirely
  • Matte surfaces may show fine machining marks under raking light (typical of the manufacturing process)
  • Minimal color deviations between different production batches
  • Oberfläche ist kratzfester als Lack, aber nicht kratzfest — feine Gebrauchsspuren bei intensiver Nutzung sind normal

Fronts — Decospan Shinnoki on MDF

Real wood veneer with 6-coat UV lacquering on an MDF substrate.

  • Natural grain patterns and color variations — every veneer is one of a kind
  • Color change due to UV light exposure over time (darkening or lightening depending on the wood species)
  • Minimal joint formation at veneer edges due to seasonal moisture fluctuations
  • Batch-related color deviations in reorders

Worktops — Fundermax Compact Panels (6–20 mm)

HPL compact panels (High Pressure Laminate) for the kitchen area.

  • Minor color deviations between production batches
  • Dimensional tolerances in accordance with EN 438 (HPL standard)
  • Visible core structure at cut edges (brown/black) — minimized by edge treatment
  • The surface is heat-resistant up to approx. 180 °C — placing hot pots directly on the panel can cause discoloration

Worktops — Ceramic (Dekton, Laminam and others)

Ceramic worktops are supplied and installed by Kaiser Natursteine GmbH as a complete service. The warranty for the worktop itself lies with Kaiser Natursteine.

  • Batch-related color deviations — even with technical ceramics, the appearance varies between production batches
  • Natural stone aesthetics (e.g. marbling) intentionally vary from batch to batch
  • Matte-finish surfaces may show fine marks under raking light (typical of the manufacturing process)
  • Minimal dimensional tolerances at cutouts (sink, hob)

Our warranty covers the professional integration of the worktop into the kitchen installation.

Hardware — Hettich, Kesseböhmer, Sige
  • Hettich (hettich.com) — hinges, drawer systems
  • Kesseböhmer (kesseboehmer.com) — pull-out systems, storage solutions
  • Sige spa (sigespa.com) — pull-out systems (Italy)
  • Drawers and pull-outs require fine adjustment after installation (re-adjustment approx. 1 month after installation is a goodwill service)
  • Operating noise in drawer systems varies depending on load and installation conditions
  • Metal parts with a brushed finish show fine hairline scratches with use — this is typical of the material
  • Manufacturing-typical tolerances in gap dimensions (±1 mm)
Sinks — Blanco
  • Blanco Silgranit sinks consist of 80% natural quartz
  • Color differences between production batches are possible
  • Limescale deposits with hard water are usage-related and not a material defect
