Rusi’s comment: With the Dish it is not about size but about how you cook. If, like me, you tidy up while cooking and run a wash in between, 7 place settings are probably enough even for a family. I do not count on BORA’s 4 cycles an hour, which would mean a Formula 1 pit stop every 15 minutes. Two are more realistic. If you leave everything until after the meal, you need to change your habits or choose a full-size dishwasher. I have not tested it myself yet. My full take: Wash, don’t stack.

The BORA Dish is a fully integrated dishwasher for 7 place settings with a height of 61 cm. It holds less than a full-size dishwasher and has shorter programmes: according to BORA, the BORA xSpeed programme washes and dries in 10 minutes*. The appliance preheats while you load it, and the wash starts right afterwards. It is meant for washing up after every meal instead of collecting dishes all day.

  • Up to 7 place settings per cycle, according to BORA up to 4 cycles per hour
  • Large pizza plates, tall vessels and the cooking trays of the BORA X BO and Oven Steam fit inside
  • 4 programmes: xSpeed for everyday use (10 minutes*), Eco, Intensive for burnt-on food and Gentle for glasses, plus Drying+, Rinsing+ and a machine care programme. BORA has not yet published running times except for xSpeed
  • BORA xDry: active drying, according to BORA without steam when the door is opened. In the Eco programme the door opens slightly for drying
  • BORA eDose: automatic dosing of BORA Dish Gel and rinse aid, no tabs. According to BORA, one container of Dish Gel lasts about 65 xSpeed cycles, the rinse aid about 160. BORA has not yet named prices for them
  • Touch display, delay start, child lock, auto-open and push-to-open, interior lighting, stainless steel tub
  • BORA One app: status, remaining time, fill levels, programme start
  • Optional: exchange basket set with rails (DISHWK). The basket with the clean dishes goes on rails into a kitchen cabinet, a second, empty basket straight into the Dish

Dimensions and installation

  • 597 x 610 x 550 mm (W x H x D), niche 600 to 606 mm wide, 613 to 675 mm high, at least 555 mm deep
  • Raised below the worktop (on a base), floor-standing or in a tall unit
  • Furniture front 2 to 9 kg (up to 15 kg with a hinge set), as a sliding or fixed door, at least 16 mm thick
  • Cold or hot water connection up to 60 °C, connection 3,150 W, 16 A
  • BORA has not yet published the energy efficiency class, consumption or noise values

Planning notes

  • No cabinet or other appliance may stand on the Dish. The supplied vapour protection foil goes under the worktop or the carcass base above it
  • For hoses and cable, the neighbouring cabinet needs an opening of 60 x 100 mm if required. Inlet hose 165 cm (183 cm with Aquastop), drain hose 190 cm, extension available as an accessory
  • Water pressure 1.5 to 10 bar, water hardness up to 50 °dH. Above that, BORA recommends an external water softener
  • At the end of a run of units the Dish needs an end panel

Accessories

Exchange basket set with rails (DISHWK), dish basket balcony (DISHGKB), cutlery basket (DISHBK), carafe holder (DISHKH), hinge set for heavy fronts (DISHSFMF815), mounting set for the plinth panel (DISHMSS), hose extension (DISHSV), plus BORA Dish Gel 1 and 2 (DISHGEL1, DISHGEL2) and rinse aid (DISHKS).

*At a water inlet temperature of 44 °C, with preheating (PreHeat) completed and with BORA cleaning products. With colder water the programme takes longer.
